Even after four decades, I still love my job! I have had the great pleasure of bringing rivers and people together. It has been most satisfying to see so many individuals, groups, summer camps, and organizations connect with nature on our trips. 

  Each season I assemble a great group of young men and women who join me in providing our guests with friendly and professional customer service. We work together to ensure your paddle trip or float is safe and enjoyable. I am proud to say that Appalachian Outfitters has always used the best quality watercraft and equipment for our guests.

  Of course, the real rock stars of our operation are the Chestatee and Etowah Rivers themselves. We offer a Canoe or Kayak day trip on both for all experience levels. We also offer a unique Tubing trip on the Chestatee. Our staff works diligently to take care of these two river gems by removing trash as well as dangerous trees and debris.

  All of our Canoe, Kayaking, and Tubing trips include all necessary equipment and transportation TO or FROM the river at one price. In other words, pack a lunch, splash on the sunblock, grab the fishing pole and we’ll do the rest.
